Previously The Lobster Trap Restaurant in Cooper River Park off of North Park Drive in Pennsauken, Cooper House Restaurant is priming the community for the grand opening of the restaurant in May 2016.
A lot of excitement has surrounded the project. Figuratively and literally, it’s right next to the playground. So you know, excitement. Locals have been stopping in to see if the restaurant has opened yet only to be told just a bit longer.
Design Inspired By Nature
The building looks fantastic. Modern, with a clean wood facade and simple name. The goal of restauranteur Kevin Meeker is to bring a casual gastro-pub eatery back to the park.
With beautiful river views and easy access to both 130, 38, and 70 the restaurant is still finalizing the details of menu offerings. It is expected to include soups, salads, appetizers, small plates, burgers, sandwiches, and desserts.
Not Another Busy Sports Bar
The goal is not to have another sports bar. So forget the more common sight of large screens showing a game and cramped dining areas.
I am looking forward to the announcement of this new family-friendly eatery opening so close to home. Seriously, a walk or bike ride away. (Which is something worth considering due to the limited parking lot offerings).
